I had plans to cosplay as Edward Elric this year at Dragon*con. Building the arm seemed like fun and I always enjoy seeing good Edward costumes. Then Portal 2 came out. And I played it. And everything changed. The decision that I had to build Wheatley was pretty instant and Edward was tossed out. I wasn't the only one to overhaul cosplay plans thanks to that game. My good friend scrapped her cosplay plans in favor of GLaDOS, while her husband is going to be dressed up as Cave Johnson. I'm super excited.

Most cosplayers create their own outfits, referencing images of the characters in the process. There are also a number of individuals who work on commission, creating custom costumes, props or wigs designed and fitted to the individual; some social networking sites for cosplay have classified ad sections where such services are advertised. Other cosplayers, who prefer to create their own costumes, still provide a market for individual elements, accessories, and various raw materials, such as unstyled wigs or extensions, hair dye, cloth and sewing notions, liquid latex, body paint, shoes, costume jewellery and prop weapons. Some anime and video game characters have weapons or other accessories that are hard to replicate, and conventions have strict rules regarding those weapons, but most cosplayers engage in some combination of methods to obtain all the items necessary for their costume; for example, they may commission a prop weapon, sew their own clothing, buy character jewelry from a cosplay accessory manufacturer, buy a pair of off-the-rack shoes, and modify them to match the desired look.

Gucci sent me an email today, and on it was the bold new Gucci Indy bag in gunmetal python with light gold hardware.

This bag is definitely not one of my favorites from the Gucci House no matter what print. The handle, how it rests on the shoulder, is just so uncomfortable to carry. Although it does come with a detachable shoulder strap in case you cant stand the stiff top handle.

This new bag comes in a variety of different fabric from plain leather or the house signature (beige / ebony) double GG to python or guccissima print with a price range of $2350 and on up to a whopping $5790.

Now, about the costumes. The 1st photo shows a Silver Age 1970's version of Batman inspired by the artwork of Neal Adams. This is a favorite era of mine because, I guess, it was my early childhood and my main introduction to the comic books. Also, Neal Adams' artwork from that time period is great stuff.
